Rani Lakshmibai
Rani Lakshmibai was Maharani of Jhansi and one of the commandants of the Indian Rebellion of 1857. She was born on 19th November 1828 in the Banares Kingdom of Kashi - Banares ( Current Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, Bharat ). Her real name was Manikarnika, after her marriage to Maharaja of Jhansi Gangadhar Rao, her name changed to Laxmibai as per Hindu Tradition.
She ruled Jhansi from 1843 to 1853. She raised her sword against the British East India Company and fought till her last breath. East India Company or the British treat her as the most dangerous leader and Military commandant of the era. Maharani of Jhansi, Rani Laxmibai was just 29 years old when she died on the battlefield.
